MANILA, Philippines — A northeast monsoon prevailing over Northern and Central Luzon is expected to bring scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in these regions, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Wednesday.
“Northern and Central Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the eastern section which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms,” it also said.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, the state weather bureau said.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas, Pagasa said.
