The Philippine National Police (PNP) has not monitored any problems since the start of the Boracay closure.

PNP spokesperson Chief Supt. John Bulalacao said on Sunday that aside from booking complaints, no other problems were recorded by the authorities.

“Wala naman tayong naging problema after nung magsimula yong rehabiliation effort ng pamahalaan,” Bulalacao said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990 AM.

“Bagamat noong time na yun, may mga reklamo yung mga nakapagbook na, nai-accommodate naman iyon, pero syrempre kailangan dumaan sila sa tedious process of going in and going out of the island,” he added.

Bulalacao also said that the situation on Boracay island had normalized already and that no untoward incidents were expected.

“Sa ngayon, normal naman ang situation, nafo-foresee naman ng regional director ng region 6 na wala namang silang inaasaahang violent incident or security problem sa lugar,” he said. /cbb
