Cop, 2 men selling shabu in Pampanga charged

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The police on Saturday (May 12) charged a Pampanga policeman and two other suspects caught selling suspected shabu (crystal meth) in Mabalacat City on Friday (May 11).

Police Officer 1 Kevin Pierre Apostol, a member of the Arayat town police, and his alleged accomplices Angel Pabilonia and Donato Felipe, were charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act No. 9165) and the Commission on Elections’ gun ban.

The suspects were cornered at a late afternoon drug bust along Pineda Subdivision in Barangay (village) Dau. Seized from them were nine sachets of suspected shabu worth about P5,000, a handgun, bullets and several items including the P500-bill used as marked money.

Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, Central Luzon police director, said the arrest of Apostol, 29, “manifested our keen determination to remove misfits in the Philippine National Police.”

Amador said the anti-drug campaign Double Barrel and other anti-crime measures reduced incidents of murder, homicide, robbery, theft, physical injury, stealing of vehicles and rape in Central Luzon by an average of 25 percent from January to April.
