5 Pansol resort owners in hot water for lacking BIR papers

/ 07:12 AM May 12, 2018

Five owners of four hot-spring resorts in Pansol, Laguna, found themselves in hot water on Wednesday after they were slapped with criminal complaints by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for operating their businesses without proper permits.

Charged with unlawful pursuit of business were resort owners Francisco Galang of Cool Breeze Resort, Leonora Austria of Don Bosco Private Resort, Aida Metalla and Concepcion Rossiter of Labelle Resort, and Lydia Carlos Salimbacod of Pearl Sal Private Resort.

The BIR said a tax mapping of all business establishments in Barangay Pansol, Calamba City, found that the four resorts were not registered with the agency.—BEN O. DE VERA
