6 Cagayan town bets linked to drugs withdraw from village, SK polls
TUGUEGARAO CITY – Six candidates, who were linked to drugs in Tuao town in Cagayan province, have withdrawn from the May 14 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, the police announced on Thursday (May 10).
The identities of the candidates’ were withheld for security reasons, the police said.
Senior Supt. Warren Tolito, Cagayan police director, had earlier advised candidates implicated in drug trafficking or substance abuse to “reform before embarking on political careers.”
