Sudanese student shot, wounded in Dagupan City

DAGUPAN CITY — A 24-year-old Sudanese student was shot and wounded on Wednesday morning (May 9) here, police said.

Mohamad Salah Mohamed, a Chemical Engineering student of the Lyceum Northwestern University, was on his way home at 3:50 a.m. when he was attacked by one of two men riding on a motorcycle, according to Supt. Jandale Sulit, the city police chief.

Mohamed was immediately taken to a hospital, where he is now being treated for bullet wounds.

Sulit said investigators have yet to determine why the student was targeted. Gabriel Cardinoza
