The appointment paper of Philippine Coast Guard chief Elson Hermogino
Rear Admiral Elson Hermogino was promoted to the rank of admiral four months after he was appointed as commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard.

President Rodrigo Duterte signed his promotion paper on May 8.
Hermogino was formerly the Maritime Safety Service Commander of the PCG before he was named commandant.
He is a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1985.
