President Rodrigo Duterte has accepted the resignation of Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo, according to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.
“Yes, accepted,” Roque told reporters in a text message when asked if the President had accepted Teo’s resignation.
Teo submitted her resignation to Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea before the Cabinet meeting in Malacañang on Monday.
“There was a resignation letter [of Teo] that was submitted to the OES [Office of the Executive Secretary] before the meeting with the President last night,” Roque said in a Palace briefing.

Roque said the Palace will leave it to the Ombudsman to determine if Secretary Teo has criminal liability.
“Iyan naman po ay katungkulan talaga ng Ombudsman (That is really the duty of the Ombudsman),” he said, adding that Malacanang expects a swift and transparent probe.
