P300-K worth of shabu seized in South Cotabato
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized more than P300,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydchloride) from two students in South Cotabato, officials said Monday.
The suspects, identified as Jechael Manipon, 24, and Ariel Delina, 21, were arrested in a buy-bust operation along Miranda Street, Polomok, South Cotabato.
PDEA Director Aaron Aquino said the operation was conducted on May 4 by agents of PDEA Regional Office XII.
Found in the students’ posession were three sachets of shabu weighing 51 grams, which has an estimated street value of P346,000. PDEA agents also confiscated a mobile phone, one motorcycle, and the marked money.
Both Manipon and Delina will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /ee
