The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila (RCAM) is urging leaders of all parishes, shrines, chaplaincies, and religious committees within its jurisdiction to encourage its followers to pray for the upcoming barangay elections.
The prayer, which will be available in different dialects, asks for “wisdom” in electing people “who will work for truth, justice, and the upliftment of human dignity”.
“Upon the proposal of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, our Archbishop, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, encourages us to pray the attached Prayer for the Barangay Election after the Post Communion Prayer in all Masses from May 6 to May 13, 2018,” Fr. Reginald Malicdem of the RCAM Chancery Office said in a letter released to parishes on Friday.
Malicdem said the prayer would be recited after the post-communion prayer in all Masses from May 6 to 13. /cbb
