LUCENA CITY – The new head of the Quezon police force has warned abusive policemen to reform or face the full force of the law.

“If there are still some, you better stop. We will get you,” Senior Supt. Osmundo De Guzman, the new Quezon police director said in a short speech during a turn over ceremony presided by Chief Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, Calabarzon police director.

De Guzman replaced Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento as the director of the Quezon police office.

De Guzman vowed to continue Armamento’s illegal drugs campaign to get rid of the remnants of busted local drug syndicates.

Armamento, who was assigned here on November 2016, was credited with the success of the reformation of drug surrenderers in Quezon.

Of the 25,100 drug surrenderers during his watch, at least 1,190 were now trained rescuers after their completion of the “Yakap Bayan” program.

The program aims to help reform and rehabilitate drug surrenderers to become productive and responsible members of the community.
