Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Dir. Gen. Oscar D. Albayalde on Tuesday reminded his men to extend their patience and showcase discipline when dealing with the public because they are in public service.
Albayalde issued the statement hours after ordering the relief of three policemen caught on video harassing a motorist.
“I am reminding all our police officers to extend their patience in dealing with the public especially that we are in public service,” Albayalde said.
“I also reiterate that police officers must always showcase discipline and should conduct themselves properly all the times,” he added.
Albayalde early Tuesday ordered the relief of Police Officer (PO) 3 Ralph Soriano of Northern Police District, PO1 Reniel Soriano of the Drug Enforcement Group in Camp Crame, and PO1 Rendel Soriano of Caloocan Police Station.
The Soriano brothers were the subject of a set of viral videos showing them confronting a man, identified as Ricardo Malaya, at his residence.

Albayalde, known for his strict discipline for his men on the ground, said the PNP under his leadership would not tolerate any abuse by any police officer.
He also called on the public to report not just the misdeeds of his men but also the good deeds so they can be given due recognition. /je
