The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has lifted its vehicle number coding scheme for Tuesday, Labor Day, as protests are expected to be staged in various parts of Metro Manila.

In an advisory, the MMDA said it has suspended the number coding scheme in celebration of Labor Day, a national holiday.

The number coding scheme or the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) is suspended on weekends and during holidays.

The agency said the suspension of the number coding scheme covers the whole Metro Manila including Makati City.   /muf
