2 wounded in South Cotabato bomb blast

COTABATO CITY – Two persons were wounded when a bomb exploded in a tricycle parked beside the St. Anthony Parish Church in Barangay Zone 3 in Koronadal City on Sunday afternoon.

Supt. Aldrin Gonzales, the public information officer of Central Mindanao police, said the victims, identified as Dindo Zamora and Generosa Sumargo, were rushed to a hospital for shrapnel wounds.

“We are still investigating what kind of explosives was used,” Gonzales said.

“The bomb was placed in a motorcycle with license plate number 7997 parked beside the St. Anthony Parish Church,” he said.

He added that the cops have found two witnesses who will shed more light into into the blast. /ee
