Liliw Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival

A festival in Liliw in Laguna province, celebrating the town’s footwear industry, which is the main source of income of its residents. Activities include a street party, photo and painting contest, people’s night and a display of the town’s products.

April 28 to May 5

Bangus Festival

The local “bangus” (milkfish) industry in Dagupan City in Pangasinan province is showcased in a monthlong festival with the theme “The Happiest Fish Fest for You and Your Family.” The final week of festivities will feature a trade fair, golf competition and the much-awaited street party highlighted by the grilling of thousands of the city’s famous bangus, which is said to be the tastiest and juiciest in the country.

Sublian Festival

A festival in the town of Bauan in Batangas province that celebrates “subli,” an indigenous song and dance ritual. Poetry, movement and music are combined when performing subli as the dance is accompanied by chants and drums. The festival also features traditional Filipino games, folk songs and the sharing of “nilupak,” a local delicacy made of bananas and sweet potato.
