The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) has extended the filing of application for the position of Ombudsman from May 2 to May 15, 2018.
The JBC is constitutionally mandated to screen aspirants for judiciary and Ombudsman positions and recommends appointees to the President.
Carpio-Morales’ seven-year term will end on July 26. She was appointed by former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III in 2011.
The JBC said they must receive all applications or recommendations with conforme and supporting documents not later than 4:30 p.m. of May 15, 2018.
The deadline for submission of applications or recommendations with conforme and supporting documents is on May 2, 2018.
The JBC screens applicants for positions in the judiciary and the Office of the Ombudsman and recommends appointees to the President. /jpv
