Quezon City Councilor and actor Roderick Paulate posted a P246,000 bail on Friday at the Sandiganbayan after the anti-graft court ordered his arrest for graft and falsification of public documents.
The Office of the Ombudsman earlier filed against Paulate complaints for alleged violation of Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corruption Practices Act, with eight counts of falsification of public documents. The complaints were based on claims that Paulate had 30 ghost employees in his office in 2010.
In addition to the graft case, Paulate also faces a falsification by a public officer case.
Co-accused Vicente Bajamunde, Paulate’s driver and liason officer, also posted a P220,000 bail. The Sandiganbayan raffled Paulate’s case on the same day to its Seventh Division. With Donabelle Dominguez-Cargullo/Radyo Inquirer /muf
