Janet Oñate, 41, a former migrant worker from Zamboanga, who is running in Barangay (village) Tugatog, was allegedly caught sniffing shabu with seven others inside a shanty in Barangay Banga around 3 a.m., according to Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr.

Also arrested were Noemie Uy, Jufer Oñate, Arsenio Bacani and Aurora Roy, all residents of Meycauayan; Oscar Malvar and Jonnel Danao from Valenzuela City; and Joseph Casambros from San Ildefonso town, all in Bulacan.

The police seized three sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth); an open sachet with suspected “shabu” residue; and assorted drug paraphernalia.
