Palace agrees with Robredo, says Arroyo mug shots in Inquirer fake

MANILA, Philippines—Malacañang said the mug shots of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo published in the Inquirer were fake.

In a Palace briefing past noon Tuesday, Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said it was Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo who pointed out that the mug shots were fake.

Valte said that the Philippine National Police has given strict instructions for the police mug shots of Arroyo not to be released to the media and public.
