Three people, including a 10-year-old child, died in an hourlong blaze in Quezon City on Monday night that also left 30 families homeless.
The city fire department identified the victims as Paulina Santos, 55 and her daughter, Rachelle Ann, 24.
Ten-year-old Raizel Redito, who was earlier reported missing, also died.
Senior Supt. Manuel Manuel, city fire marshal, said the blaze began at 11:43 p.m. in the kitchen of the two-story house of Juanita Redito, 65, on Roque 1 Extension in Barangay Pasong Tamo.
The fire quickly reached the second alarm and razed 15 houses before it was put out at 12:50 a.m. the next day.
Manuel said the three victims were found burnt beyond recognition as authorities were still investigating the cause of their deaths.
Three others suffered minor injuries such as burns and cuts.
Authorities placed the damage to property at around P150,000. —Jhesset O. Enano
