Bolo-wielding man kills 6 in Nueva Ecija town

SAN LEONARDO, NUEVA ECIJA—A bolo-wielding man on Friday morning attacked a family and killed six people, including two children, in Barangay Tambo Adorable here before fleeing, police said.

Police are hunting the suspect, identified only as JC Tesoro, the supposed boyfriend of a woman named Jennifer, who was stabbed dead along with her mother, two men, and the two children, aged 10 and 11, at about 4 a.m.

Only Jennifer’s sister, Analyn, and two other children, aged 1 and 5, survived the attack. Analyn had not given the police a coherent account of what happened.

Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, Central Luzon police director, said neighbors did not know the family, who had moved into the house two weeks ago.—ARMAND GALANG
