P25K worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Parañaque

Police arrested a couple with more than P25,000 worth of crystal meth or “shabu” and marijuana in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Thursday evening. The suspects were identified as Renato Barretto, 58, and his partner PerryBell Rioferio, 35, of Barangays San Antonio and San Isidro in Parañaque.

The two were caught selling a sachet of shabu for P300 to PO1 Ferdinand Silva along Extra Extension, Fourth Estate Subdivision, Barangay San Antonio, around 11:40 p.m. Barretto and a certain alias Dato were the real targets.

Both are members of the Arnaiz drug group and are also involved in  robbery.

Recovered  from Barretto were 40 sachets of shabu, and a sachet containing  marijuana and the P300 buy-bust money.—JODEE A. AGONCILLO AND JONNABETH ORTEGA
