A barber in England was arrested after he shaved a 10-year-old boy’s head, which the youngster said was a “humiliating” haircut.

Police arrested 21-year-old Bedford native Abdulrahim Omar for distressing the boy as he gave him a number one across his head. Omar said it was a punishment for the boy as he tried to handle a razor on his own, The Telegraph reported yesterday.

After people around started to laugh at him, the boy called reinforcements and told them what Omar had done to him. He also said that Omar made him to sweep his cut hair after his head was shaved.

Omar admitted to what he did, and he pleaded guilty to causing bodily harm. Prosecutor Alex Riley said the boy experienced “psychological and physical harm” due to what happened to him.

Judge Richard Foster said of what Omar did to the child: “This offense was the premeditated humiliation of a 10 year old. It was despicable conduct to treat a child in that way.”

He added, “There is no excuse for what you did. It was a most disgusting piece of humiliation.”

Omar was sentenced to eight months in jail.  Katrina Hallare /ra
