The proper implementation of infrastructure projects would be key to the success of the Duterte administration’s “Build, Build, Build” program, according to experts at a recent forum organized by Stratbase Albert del Rosario Institute (ADRi).
Dindo Manhit, president of Stratbase ADRi, said infrastructure lack was one of the reasons for the Philippines’ poor rankings in global business surveys.
“The most problematic factor for doing business in the country is inadequate infrastructure,” Manhit said in a statement.
In the same forum, Alvin Ang presented a study, entitled “Financing Inclusive Infrastructure,” which identified several challenges in the Build, Build, Build program.
It said it was not an issue whether projects were public-private partnerships or funded by government loans but whether they were implemented correctly.
