LUCENA CITY – A motorcycle rider died after his vehicle accidentally slammed into a passing truck in Sariaya town in Quezon province Monday afternoon.
Roberto Pona Barbosa overtook a Manila-bound cargo truck at its right side as both vehicles negotiated Sariaya’s narrow main street around 2:30 p.m., a report from the Quezon police said.
Quoting two witnesses, police said Barbosa lost control of his motorcycle and slid to the pavement and crashed into the rear tire of the truck.
Barbosa suffered serious head and body injuries and died on the spot, the report said. DELFIN MALLARI JR.
