April 15 to 22

Panaad sa Negros

The cities and towns of Negros Occidental province show their local pride during the festival held in Bacolod City, the province’s capital.

Called the “festival of festivals,” Panaad has become a venue for local governments to showcase their best produce, talents and culture.

This year’s theme is “Panaad@25: The Promise Fulfilled.”

Activities include an agricultural fair, musical show, songwriting contest, folk dance competition and bamboo bike riding.

April 18 to 22

Ana Kalang Festival

The town of Nagcarlan in Laguna province celebrates its agriculture industry as it is known as the “Vegetable Basket of Laguna.”

Giant statues,  called “kalang-kalang,” and replicas of old structures are displayed in the town.

Festivities include a cooking contest, cultural night and people’s night.

April 19 to 21

12th Boracay International

Dragon Boat Festival

The event, now on its 12th year, is one of the biggest international water sports event in the country.

The dragon boat festival, held in the world-famous island of Boracay in Aklan province, is participated in by rowers from around the world.

The event is organized by the Boracay Island Paddlers Association.
