1 of 3 teenagers in SUV die in road accident in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – Three senior high school graduates figured in a vehicular accident on Saturday afternoon in Dauis town, Bohol after attending a party.

One didn’t make it while two others were still in the hospital.

The teenagers were aboard a Mitsubishi Montero, according to SPO3 Jose Pogoy, desk officer of the Dauis Police Station. They came from Panglao town and were heading to Tagbilaran City.

According to some witnesses, the vehicle was speeding.

Pogoy said the driver, Prince Jumawid, 19, overtook a motorcycle along the national road in Barangay Tinago but lost control of the sports utility vehicle, which hit a tree before it overturned, Pogoy saud.

The crash happened 5 p.m.

According to Pogoy, Marvin Arcamo Guiritan, 18, a resident of Marapao Street in this city, died on the spot.

Jumawid and Allen Pablo, 18, were rushed to the hospital in Tagbilaran.

Police were still conducting an investigation to check if the teenagers were drunk, having come from a party in Panglao. /atm
