A magnitude 2.4 earthquake hit Biliran on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
According to Phivolcs, the quake was recorded at 1:15 p.m. east of Naval, Biliran, which also experienced an Intensity 2 tremor.
The tremor had a depth of 17 kilometers and had a tectonic origin.
There was no damage reported and aftershocks will not be expected, Phivolcs said. /jpv
