‘Kuhol’ arrested for child abuse in QC
Authorities have filed child abuse charges against ex-actor and comedian Philip “Kuhol” Supnet after he allegedly took advantage of a 10-year old girl by kissing her on the lips while they were at his store in Quezon City.
Supnet was known for his role as the sidekick of Mr. Shooli, portrayed by actor and writer Jun Urbano, in the television show “Juan Tamad and Mr. Shooli: Mongolian Barbecue” in 1991.
In a statement, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said Supnet is now facing charges for violation of RA 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
QCPD Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said the 10-year old girl was at Supnet’s store at around 8:00 p.m. on April 12.
Supnet, a godparent of the girl, allegedly took advantage of her when she was inside the store.
