Worker hacks kid brother in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY—A construction worker on Tuesday (April 10) hacked and wounded his younger brother and then brought him to a medical clinic in Mangatarem town in Pangasinan province, police said.

Ferdinand Moreno, 37, a tricycle driver, was wounded in the left arm and head, after his brother, Rafael Moreno, 47, attacked him with a bolo at 11:30 a.m. in Barangay (Village) Malibong.

The two were having drinks at Rafael’s compound in the village when their discussions heated up and turned physical.

Ferdinand grabbed a bamboo stick and struck Rafael in the head several times, wounding him in the left eyebrow.

Rafael got hold of a bolo and hacked Ferdinand. But seeing his younger sibling bleeding, Rafael took him to a clinic in Barangay Mabini, which is at the town’s center.

Police arrested Rafael after the incident. Ferdinand is now being treated in a hospital in Dagupan City, where he was later transferred.
