Two die in Caloocan fire

Two people were killed in a fire that burned a residential area in Caloocan.

Fire Officer 1 Jason Sarao of Caloocan Bureau of Fire Protection Investigation Unit identified the fatalities as Herminda Carbonel, 74, and Banjo Carbonel, 51, Radyo Inquirer 990 AM reported on Tuesday.


According to the report, the fire started at about 10:10 p.m. on Monday in Barrio Concepcion, Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan City. It was declared fire out at 11:27 p.m.

Initial investigation showed that damage to property was estimated at around P500,000, reports said.


The cause of the fire is still unknown. /cbb
