Drug suspect killed, 2 others nabbed in Bohol buy-bust op
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — A drug pusher was shot and killed while two alleged drug users including a private school teacher were arrested in a buy-bust operation in this city on Sunday afternoon.
John Gerald “Kano” Baquero Anson, 21, a resident of Barangay Magsija in Balilihan town, Bohol, died of a gunshot wound in the chest following a shootout, said Supt. Patricio Degay, Tagbilaran police chief.
Degay said the operation stemmed from a tip that Anson was both drug user and peddler.
An undercover policeman bought P500 worth of shabu from Anson about 4 p.m. on Sunday along Ligason Street, Purok 7, Barangay Bool.
But the suspect realized that it was a sting operation and pulled out his gun to shoot the undercover policeman.
But the gun malfunctioned.
