CLARK FREEPORT — Sen. Richard Gordon is proposing a Regional Infrastructure and Investment Corp. (RIIC) to make Central Luzon the country’s leading business center.
The proposed RIIC would facilitate the creation of a regional investment corridor that would attract more businesses and spur development in the region, Gordon said during a hearing by the Senate committee on government corporations and public enterprises on Friday.
Gordon said a Central Luzon investment corridor would speed up the decongestion of Metro Manila once industries and people were granted incentives to move out to the region. —Gabriel Cardinoza
