Police have arrested two suspected drug peddlers in a buy-bust operation in a residential area in Marikina City.
The Marikina City police, in a spot report released Sunday, identified the suspects as Michael Perez, 34, and Jose Lizardo, Jr., 26.
According to the report, Marikina Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted a buy-bust operation on Saturday along Rosita Street, Barangay Sto. Niño, at about 6:20 p.m.
Police seized nine pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing white crystal-like substance suspected to be shabu, a P1,000 bill used as buy bust money, and a blue perfume pouch.
The suspects were subsequently brought to the Eastern Police District Crime Laboratory for drug testing and evidence for examination. /cbb
