3 tricycle passengers die in Quezon road mishap

LUCENA CITY – Three tricycle passengers died in a road accident in Lucban town in Quezon province Friday night.

Quezon police director Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento said tricycle driver Michal Gaytano and passengers Dennis Rotaquio and Rosauro Abcede all died on the spot from severe body injuries after their vehicle was accidentally hit by a bus along the provincial road in Barangay (village) Aliliw around 7:30 p.m.

Police said the DLTBCO bus being driven by Miguel Urguelles was passing by a parked truck when it collided head-on with the oncoming tricycle.

The bus driver escaped after the incident, police said.
