The National Food Authority (NFA) Council would not be abolished contrary to earlier reports, Malacañang said Friday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the NFA and the NFA Council would be transferred under the Office of the President (OP)
“It’s NFA that will be transferred to OP with the Council,” Roque said in a text message.
The President on Thursday met with rice traders in Malacañang following reports of rice shortage in the country.
The NFA Council, an interagency body, is currently headed by Secretary to the Cabinet Leoncio “Jun” Evasco. /muf
