Thousands of passengers continued to flock to the different ports in the country to return to Manila after spending the Holy Week in the provinces.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recorded 41,853 Manila-bound sea travelers from 6 p.m. of Monday to midnight of Tuesday.
In its travel breakdown, the PCG monitored 10,811 inbound passengers coming from ports in Central Visayas. Ports in the Southern Tagalog and Northern Mindanao Regions reported 7,364 and 6,172 passengers, respectively.
The PCG also recorded a total of 5,817 passengers from Southeastern Mindanao ports, 3,450 from Southern Visayan ports, and 1,799 passengers from Eastern Visayas ports.
Meanwhile, the PGC said 619 and 455 passengers passed through seaports in Bicol and Palawan, respectively.
No unusual or untoward incidents havd been reported by the PCG’s Passenger Assistance Centers. /cbb
