MPD to probe alleged drinking sessions in police station

The Manila Police District (MPD) on Sunday said it would conduct an investigation regarding the alleged drinking sessions happening in Police Station 11.

Supt. Erwin Margarejo, MPD spokesperson, said that charges will be filed against police personnel found guilty.

“We will conduct investigation on this matter [and] file necessary charges to all MPD personnel involved,” Margarejo said in a text message sent to INQUIRER.net.

Margarejo then encouraged anyone with knowledge about the alleged drinking session to come forward to MPD.

INQUIRER.net messaged station 11 chief Supt. Amante Daro regarding the matter but he has yet to respond.

INQUIRER.net received a message on Sunday thru Facebook about the supposed drinking session inside the precinct accompanied by a photo.

According to the source, who asked for anonymity for safety purposes, the drinking sessions had started in the said precinct early 2017 until this 2018. /je
