The country will generally have cloudy skies and scattered rain on Easter Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The Samar provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms due to the trough of Tropical Storm “Caloy,” with international name Jelawat, the state weather bureau said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.
As of 3 a.m., Caloy was spotted 2,265 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan, outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
The Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will also have the same weather condition but due to the northeasterly wind flow.
The Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms, Pagasa added. /cbb
