Aguirre: Take time on Holy Week to be truly remorseful and forgive

Take the Lenten Season as an opportunity to be truly remorseful of the sins and omissions committed and learn to forgive, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said Thursday.

Aguirre said we should “celebrate our deliverance from sin by the ultimate sacrifice on the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” by taking “this golden opportunity to be truly remorseful for all the sins of commission and omission we have committed.”

“And as we seek the atonement of our transgressions, may we likewise find the grace to forgive those who sinned against us,” Aguirre said.

“Let us likewise be very thankful for the many mercies, the countless blessings and the bountiful graces we have been showered however unworthy we may be,” Aguirre said.
