Metro Manila and most parts of the country are likely to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers on Maundy Thursday, the state weather bureau said.

This while the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the trough of Tropical Storm “Caloy” (international name: Jelawat) is affecting Eastern Visayas, and could bring cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms in that area.

Caloy was last spotted 1,225 kilometers east of Southern Luzon, or outside the Philippine area of responsibility, according to the state weather agency.   /kga
