‘High value target’ couple busted in Davao Oriental drug sting

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has arrested a couple, which authorities described as “high value target,” in a buy bust operation in Davao Oriental.

According to the PDEA, Sajan Gadjali, Davao’s top priority drug personality target; and his partner, Julhani Gadjali, were arrested in Purok Masanagon, Sitio Kamansi, Barangay Badas in Mati City, Davao Oriental.

In a statement, PDEA Director Aaron Aquino said joint elements of PDEA Regional Office XI and Davao Oriental Police Office 11-Drug Enforcement Unit carried out the buy-bust operation against the suspects last March 22.

Authorities seized from the Gadjalis some 23 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing 25 grams and valued at P300,000.

The PDEA said the suspects would be charged in court for violating Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Faye Orellana, INQUIRER.net /kga
