Motorcycle riders killed while evading QC cops

/ 05:09 AM March 28, 2018

Two men on a motorcycle were killed on Tuesday after they crashed into a backhoe while allegedly trying to evade Quezon City police officers who were about to apprehend them.

Only one of the two victims had been identified at press time. Danilo Labraque, 24, and his companion were declared dead on arrival by doctors at FEU Hospital.

A report to Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District director, said that members of the Fairview police station were on patrol on Omega Street around 1 a.m. Tuesday when they saw two men on a motorcycle without helmets.

Apparently “sensing” that the police had spotted them, the pair sped off toward Fairlane Street but they hit a backhoe parked at the corner of Pontiac Street in Barangay Greater Fairview.
