DAGUPAN CITY — Two motorcycle-riding men were killed in a Monday (March 26) in a shootout with police officers in Lingayen town in Pangasinan province, according to Supt. Fidel Junio, Lingayen, the town’s police chief.
Labrador town police officers were chasing the two unidentified men, who went through through a checkpoint at about 4:15 a.m.
The motorcycle riders fired at officers who chased them in Barangay Quibaol in Lingayen at 4:30 a.m.
The motorcycle-riding men also went through the checkpoint his men had set up in Barangay Baay after being alerted by their Labrador counterparts.
Investigators recovered two .45-caliber pistols from the slain riders. /atm
