CITY OF CALAPAN — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized bundles of suspected marijuana on Sunday afternoon in a buy-bust operation in Puerto Galera town in Oriental Mindoro province.
The agents and local police got at least five elongated packs of suspected dried marijuana leaves wrapped in packaging tape from 24-year-old suspect Angelito Viray, a resident of Pasay City, according to Supt. Imelda Tolentino, chief of the Public Information Office of the Mimaropa Police Regional Office.
Viray was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. in Barangay Sabang, she said.
One of the packages weighed about 1 kilogram. /atm
