TUGUEGARAO CITY—The two sons of the mayor of Gonzaga town in Cagayan  province, and another suspect, were arrested after their houses yielded firearms and packets of bullets in a series of police searches on Saturday morning (Mar. 24).

Four handguns and ammunition were discovered in the houses of Jonjie and Jondell Pentecostes, sons of Gonzaga Mayor Marilyn Pentecostes, which are located in Barangay (Village) Paradise, when the police enforced search warrants at about 5:30 a.m., the police said.

The police also arrested a third suspect, Antonio Bucaneg, who, along with the Pentecostes brothers, supposedly belong to a newly formed armed group believed to be involved in the trade of drugs and guns in Cagayan.
