PH to have cloudy skies, isolated rain on Saturday — Pagasa

The country will generally have cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers on Saturday due to the effects of the tail-end of a cold front and the northeast monsoon, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon would have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms brought by the tail-end of a cold front.

Pagasa warns residents in the said areas to take extra precautions for possible flooding and landslides.

The Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley region and the province of Aurora, meanwhile, will have cloudy skies and scattered rains due to the northeast monsoon or amihan, Pagasa said.

Metro Manila, the Ilocos region, and the rest of Central Luzon meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains, due to the effects of the amihan.

The rest of the county meanwhile, said Pagasa, would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought by localized thunderstorms.     / muf
