DAVAO CITY – President Duterte on Friday hinted that his Special Assistant Christopher “Bong” Go would be entering politics soon.
“Please don’t forget that guy at the back, the one who has slanted eyes, when the time comes,” Duterte said in a speech during the 16th anniversary of the Supreme Tribal Council for Peace and Development here attended by over 500 lumad leaders from various Mindanao regions.
Duterte had earlier prodded Go to run in next year’s Senate race.
His daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara even started addressing Go as senator and some Cabinet officials had launched a campaign to “convince” him to run.
But Go said he had not decided about running yet.
