Kenyans rule Paref Springdale Run

KENYAN runners continued dominating the Cebu running scene as they placed one and two in the 15-kilometer run of the PAREF Springdale run dubbed “Run with the Titans,” which started and ended at the Parkmall in Mandaue City.

Kenyans Abraham Missous and Francis Kakui finished first and second, respectively in the 15k race, extending their respective winning streak against local runners.

Missous clocked 51 minutes and 27 seconds while Kakui finished in  53 minutes and 40 seconds.

Cebuano runner Ian Bernido from the Southwestern University (SWU) rounded off the top three runners with a time of 55 minutes and five seconds.

In the distaff side, Cristy Tutor also continued to perform big in her return to running as she topped the 15k race in 1 hour, 13 minutes and 35 seconds. Mary Jane Beboso was at close second spot with a time of 01:13:36 while Madelyn Carter rounded off the top three runners with 01:13:37.
