Graduating student dies in Palawan accident

CITY OF CALAPAN–A graduating student died after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a bridge and fell off the river in Aborlan town, Palawan province on Tuesday night.

Joseph Aurelio, 19, was on his way back to the residence of his school adviser after accompanying two of his female classmates, who were on their way home, when he accidentally hit the bridge railings and fell into the river in Barangay San Juan around 10 p.m., Supt. Imelda Tolentino, information officer of the Mimaropa police, said

A gathering was being held in relation to their graduation on April 11.

The Palawan Rescue 165 rushed him to the Aborlan Medicare Hospital, but was declared “dead on arrival,” after he suffered fatal injuries in different parts of his head and body, she added.
